Career and Technical Education College Courses
Are you interested in helping young people learn a career or trade by sharing your expertise? The Pima County JTED can help you earn your instructional teaching certification. If you have 6000 hours of experience in your trade, plus a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card, you can enroll in the program. Currently there are only six courses to complete and all courses are open to the community.
The CTE college currently offers the following courses:
CTE 210 Methods of Teaching Career and Technical Education (Sept 10 - Nov 10)
CTE 275 CTE Classroom, Laboratory, and Shop Management (Jan 10 – March 10)
CTE 285 Curriculum Development for Career and Technical Education (Session A)
CTE 288 Operation of Career and Technical Student Organizations (Oct 10 – Dec 10)
