The Pima County Joint Technological Education District will provide the delivery of premier, rigorous career and technology education programs for all eligible students. In conjunction with business and industry, these programs will be focused upon both the educational and employment needs of Pima County.

1. Upgrading and enhancing existing courses and programs in participating districts.
2. Expanding the options and rigor of courses available to students.
3. Providing innovative training for students to enter the Southern Arizona workforce.
4. Providing a community resource to enhance career skills and improve employability options.

JTED programming for 2007-2008 will be through the member district's high schools and Pima Community College. These existing and new programs will be deemed "satellites" and must demonstrate enhancement of the current program through one or more of the listed criteria. Pilot programs involving two or more districts may be established. Delineation of district programs will be accomplished through IGA's to be completed and approved by respective governing boards no later than June 15, 2007.
